About the Coach

From Player to Mentor

AK Jagadeesh's chess journey began in Thiruvananthapuram, where he quickly established himself as one of the most dominant players in institutional and district-level chess. Winning the Thiruvananthapuram District Championship three times consecutively was just the beginning of a decorated career.

His competitive spirit took him beyond Kerala — to Coimbatore, where he claimed the international FIDE-rated title, and to the Kerala Premier Chess League where he starred for the champion Kozhikode Kingslayers team.

Today, as Chief Coach of the Amigos E Chess Academy in Kozhikode, Jagadeesh channels all that competitive wisdom into shaping young minds — teaching not just chess moves, but discipline, focus, and the art of thinking ahead.
